Ugwunabo Local Government Area is alive with celebration as Hon. Chiemela Iheanacho Wagbara, the newly elected Chairman, officially takes the helm of leadership. Following his swearing-in on Monday, November 4, 2024, Hon. Wagbara assumed office at the Ugwunabo Local Government Secretariat on Tuesday, November 5. This long-awaited event marks the beginning of a new chapter for the people of Ugwunabo, who describe his leadership as the fulfillment of a cherished aspiration.

As he accepted the seal of office, indigenes of Ugwunabo voiced their support and optimism for a transformative future. “Ihe Ugwunabo—the light of Ugwunabo—will lead our community forward,” stated Mr. Ngbaraonye, an elated resident. “We have great confidence in his vision to uplift our infrastructure and build our human capital.”

In his inaugural address, Hon. Wagbara committed himself to serve all people of Ugwunabo with fairness and dedication. He paid tribute to the work of the outgoing Chairman, vowing to further the progress already achieved. He also expressed his determination to build upon the transformative agenda of Governor Dr. Alex Otti, promising to bring unprecedented development to Ugwunabo.
