CHIEF CHINASA LAUDS DR EZEALA, DONATES BOOKS TO STUDENTS

Prominent Labour Party stalwart Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa has underscored the strategic importance of cultivating reading culture as a panacea for raising an enlightened and well informed society.

Chief Chinasa who made the assertion recently during the presentation of three books authored by Dr Okey Ezeala, described knowledge acquisition as the fastest way of developing both the human mind and society at large.

Commending Dr Ezeala for his creativity and industry in churning out three masterpieces at once, Chief Chinasa stated that the books are “intellectual bestsellers that provoke the mind to question the existing status quo”.

The books presented for launching include;

“Tyranny of The Weak”, “Teenage Wish” and “Odiuko:The Mother Africa Needs”. As a way of supporting the author on one hand and highlighting his commitment to intellectual empowerment on the other, Chief Chinasa announced the purchase of 1000 copies of the books for subsequent distribution to students in Bende Local Government Area.


The event which was chaired by Justice Benson Anya attracted many eminent personalities including, Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi, Member representing Bende South in the Abia State House of Assembly, Dr Ananaba Nwaobilor, Hon Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Pastor Ralph Egbu, former Secretary to Abia State Government and Prof Hagler Okoro, former Rector of Abia State Polytechnic.
