On Saturday, 24th August 2024, Buguma City witnessed an extraordinary event as a mammon crowd gathered at the Pepple Compound Square for a one-day free medical outreach, organized by the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) – Young Pharmacist Group Rivers State. The event, held in honor of Mpakaboari LongJohn (MLJ), a beloved figure known for his commitment to the community, drew people from far and wide.

Mpakaboari LongJohn, whose impact has been felt both within and outside Buguma City, inspired this outreach to ensure that people received the care they deserve. The turnout was a testament to his influence and the community’s appreciation for his work.

The outreach offered an array of medical services, including free consultations by a dedicated team of doctors, free dispensing of medications by professional pharmacists, comprehensive eye checks with the distribution of glasses, and dental examinations. The event started at 9 am and extended late into the evening, ensuring that everyone who came was attended to.

This initiative not only highlighted the importance of accessible healthcare but also brought the community together in a powerful display of unity and care.
