Passport Price Hike Alert: Nigerian Fees [ FEDRAL GOVERNMENT ]Set to Rise Starting September 1

The Federal Government is raising the cost of Nigerian passports starting September 1, 2024, according to Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) spokesperson DCI Kenneth Udo. This adjustment is aimed at maintaining the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport.

Here’s the new fee breakdown:

  • 32-page passport (5-year validity): ₦50,000 (up from ₦35,000)
  • 64-page passport (10-year validity): ₦100,000 (up from ₦70,000)

Good news for Nigerians abroad: passport fees for the diaspora remain the same. While this change might be inconvenient, the NIS is committed to delivering transparent and high-quality service.
