REJOINDER TO HIS EXCELLENCY SENATOR KASHIM SHETIMA VICE PRESIDENT FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA OVER HIS RECENT INTERVIEW WITH THE VOICE OF AMERICA TELEVISION BROADCAST

Your Excellency Sir I am prompted to react to the very issues of palliatives to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) which is germane to your campaign promises upon which the Hausa people overwhelmingly voted for your and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

You said the government disbursed N11Bn to build homes for IDPs (who are generally Hausa victims of Fulani unprovoked attacks) in States of Zamfara, Sokoto, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger and Benue.

It is unknown your source of statistics of the victims and their needs, as we the Hausa victims were never consulted, neither were we patronized with these palliatives. There is no gain saying that the whole palliatives were used to service needs of the Fulani alone thereby reinforcing Fulani banditry and insurgency.

You expressed disappointment that Fulani and Hausa are at war with themselves. This is certainly not correct because the Fulani have always been the aggressors while Hausa people remain their victims.

They wrought all manner of inhumanity against the Hausa people amongst which are killings, rape, using Hausa freshly delivered babies as feed to their dogs, cooking freshly delivered Hausa babies and forcing the parents and relations to eat them or be killed, sodomy on parents before their family glare, imposed levies on Hausa Farmers before they can access their farms, etc.

You need no political considerations in speaking truthfully over these atrocious issues.
Hausa people remain at the receiving end because all State Governors of Sokoto, Kano, katsina, Kaduna and Niger are all Fulani.

The hostilities between Fulani and Hausa cannot honestly be reduced to a matter of Clashes between two parties.

Therefore you verily need to hear from the victims not the aggressors.
You were also not correct when you said that Hausa, Kanuri, Nupe and Fulani are all brethren! This is utterly incorrect because even our Holy Qur’an affirms tribal differences. Hausa, Kanuri and Nupe lived harmoniously but none of these three tribes lived peacefully with the Fulani who are far less than 300 years old in Nigeria.

How can Immigrants that the Fulani are and Natives of the land be equal citizens of Nigeria, particularly the Hausa Land ?

It is the presumption of this equality that Buhari became President only for him to grant his Fulani brethren free reign of terror over the bonafide Natives of the land of Nigeria, particularly the Hausa Land and in the cause of this over 7million Hausa people were killed under Buhari’s era.

The APC Federal Government has not been fair to Hausa people but the Fulani in their appointments, considering the overwhelming supports from the Hausa block votes that made the APC national victory possibly.

Politics or not the Hausa people and the Fulani are culturally different!
Finally, please your Excellency Sir, may it please you that I passionately implore you to come to terms with the aforesaid realities and give the Hausa people and their IDPs their well deserved attention.
My people are going through excruciating pains and humiliation in their own land and country of origin.

May Allah place it in your humane heart to do the needful.
