A REJOİNDER TO ‘AREWA LAWYERS’ (NORTHERN NIGERIA LAWYERS ASSOCIATION) BY KALTHOOM ALUMBE JITAMI

I hereby make references to your expression of audacity over the ongoing planned protests being executed in some parts of Nigeria, particularly some Northern States’ part you refer to as Arewa, to caution, challenge and undermine authority of the Nigerian Security forces that, protesters must not be deterred by the security forces in whatever manner, notwithstanding whatsoever the protesters did.

This had always been the position canvassed by Shieck Ahmed Gumi, hence it is the nexus between you and him.
I hereby challenge you in my capacity as a Native of Hausa and Emancipator of the Land and Hausawa Tsantsa people of the entire Nigeria, over your docility when in the eight years tenure of Muhammadu Buhari as President of Nigeria all manner of inhumanity was wrought on the Hausa people by the Fulani while you stood aloof and did nothing.

Have you forgotten so soon that following closure of Northern borders by Buhari, people were killed while scrambling over a bag of rice at Katsina, Sokoto, Niger Republic borders, etc?
Banditry and insurgency was reigning supreme in Buhari’s era as Hausa people displayed countless corpses of their people killed unabatedly at the Sultan palace, without any words from your association! Hausa people were arrested and detained in katsina for protesting against unabating killings, which made global news, yet no word come from you. Security forces on mission to fight Boko Haram were severally ambushed, sabotaged and killed, you never said a word.

Reign of terror held sway and took center stage under Buhari and you saw nothing wrong in that, even as women were molested in Mosques and Churches by Fulani. Fourty four Hausa people were burnt alive in buses, even as new born baby was cooked alive by Fulani and its parents and relatives were forced to eat it, that was okay by you as you said nothing!

A pregnant Hausa woman under Fulani captivity delivered twin babies only for the same babies to be thrown to Fulani dogs and be eaten by the dogs. Hausa Christians were slaughtered in Churches by your Fulani and all these were okay by you, as you remained silent.

Be wary and very informed that, Nigerians of today are well informed and so much aware of the antics of the Fulani and their limitations in the Nigerian equation that, you (Fulani immigrants) as a group of Fulani Lawyers representing Miyetti Allah, cannot harass, cajole or intimidate anybody like the Fulani were used to doing in the past when you hide under the identity, population and strength of the Nativity of the Hausa people.

I make bold and challenge you to it by saying that, Hausawa Tsantsa of Nigeria are 100% in support of the Nigerian Security Forces on any action they take against any Protester(s).

Further more, we the Hausa Native Owners of the Lands of Kano, katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kebbi, Jigawa and Zaria; unequivocally disassociate ourselves from any concept of any entity called ‘Arewa’!

Therefore, you cannot and do not represent us or speak on our behalf whatsoever you do, neither do you speak on behalf of the people of Middle Belt region of Nigeria.

Non Fulani members of the so-called Arewa lawyers are hereby strongly advised to exit from that evil group called ‘Arewa Lawyers’, for you are only fighting the wars of your own very enemy!

Finally, the Security Forces of Nigeria should be rest assured that they have the unreserved backing and support of the rest of Nigerians, on whatever action(s) they take to bring about peace, Law and Order on the ongoing protests now and even beyond the protests.

Long live the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Long live President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
