A joint task force of the Nigeria Police and Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC Akwanga unit, Nasarawa State intercepted one Fulani Herder, Mallam Likita on a motorcycle with over two hundred loaded AK47 magazines on his way to Jos, Plateau State.
Mallam Likita confessed that other members of his gang numbering six (6) are already on their way on motorcycles to Jos with their own perhaps more tonnes of ammunitions.

Nasarawa State has boundaries with Benue where the Fulani Herdsmen killed almost thirty (30) innocent citizens including women and children in less than three days of Mallam Likita’s interception in Akwanga. “Governor Samuel Ortom has repeatedly stated that there is no land for grazing reserves or cattle routes in Benue State”.”Though the Federal Government craftily concealed the names of the states where Mr President has ordered that grazing reserves be foisted on the people, we wish to categorically state that no part of Benue will be allocated for grazing reserves or cattle routes!”The Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Ortom, Terver Akase said “The stand of the Governor is not personal; it is the collective decision of Benue people. There is no gazetted land or cattle route in Benue State. Our state should be counted out of the proposed grazing reserves programme”.

One of the eye witness who spoke with our correspondence raised alarm on the Buhari’s Administration’s suspicious concealment names of thr the states where Mr President has ordered that grazing reserves be foisted on the people. He called on Nigerians Governors to emulate Governor Ortom who insisted that no part of Benue will be allocated for grazing reserves or cattle routes!” He said fulani Herdsmen have killed thousands of innocent citizens and destroyed countless number of communities. Why is Federal Government insisting on bringing the killers to our communities under the guise of grazing reserves he questioned.
