Following a 90 minute rigorous defence, former president Olusegun Obasanjo has bagged a PhD in Christian Theology, Punch reports.
Obasanjo submitted a 250-page thesis which was deemed satisfactory by a 6-man panel in the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
The panel included Mande Samaila, dean, Postgraduate School, as Chairman; Cletus Gotan, external supervisor; Deji Ayegboyin, major supervisor; Mustapha Raheem Adejoro, head of department, Religious Studies; Nebath Tanglang, representative, School of Postgraduate Studies; and Godwin Akper, internal supervisor and dean, faculty of arts.
