Court Fine Gov. El-Rufai, Police N40m for illegal arrest and detention of Audu Maikori, President of Chocolate City Group

Emerging reports say that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, and presided over by Justice John Tsoho, on Friday awarded N40m to the President of Chocolate City Group, Audu Maikori, as compensation for his illegal arrest and detention on the orders of Governor El-Rufai of Kaduna State. His incarceration on two occasions took place between February 17 and 18, 2017 and March 10 and 13, 2017.
