Thursday 27th October, news of a purported endorsement of the Member representing Bende Federal constituency Rep. Benjamin Kalu by the Uzuakoli Youth association, hit the social waves raising interest into the politics in Bende Federal Constituency where the sitting member is contending against the strong candidate of the Labour Party, Chief Iheanyi Frank Chinasa.
The news released by DrumNewsAfrica, a blog purportedly under the payroll of Rep. Benjamin Kalu was received with so much euphoria of great riding by members of the All Progressive Congress and the fast declining community of Rep. Kalu’s supporters.
To this effect the Leadership of the Uzuakoli Youth Association has issued a press statement to make records straight. In his statement the President of the Uzuakoli Youth Association, Comr. Ndubuisi Chijioke Casmir, described the news blog (DrumNewsAfrica), it’s handlers and the Media team of Hon. Benjamin Kalu as deliberately misleading by releasing manipulated narratives in a bid to deceitfully court the appeal of ndi Bende and score cheap political points.
He advised the general public to disregard any information of such, as the Uzuakoli Youth Association, is non-partisan and did not or have until the point of this release endorsed or declared support for any candidate in the forthcoming General elections.
He furthered stated that the Youths had paid the Rep. member a courtesy visit to intimate him on the forthcoming Uzuakoli Youth empowerment program and solicit for his support. He used the opportunity to appeal to well meaning individuals to support the bid to empower youths who are the cornerstones to building a greater future.

The public is hereby advised to ignore the media propaganda making rounds the media on the above subject.
For records, Uzuakoli youth are on a youth empowerment program for which members of the public are approached for support, including political office holders.
Today, 27th October 2022, Uzuakoli youths through its leadership paid a courtesy visit to our representative, Hon. Benjamin kalu to solicit support towards our youth empowerment Program and to seek his donation towards the course to empower our youth whom he represents. We used the opportunity to inform him of some negligence of his representation in Uzuakoli, to which he mentioned some of his projects and two major roads to come in the near future.
On his own, the Hon. Member applauded Uzuakoli youths for the wisdom in taking such steps and promised to support the empowerment scheme. After the meeting, he requested to take close photos with people around the discussion. This shoot we had as a a goodwill picture, not an endorsement or declarations of support.
